Southern Food Ways celebrates the diverse and rich culinary heritage of the South. It is a combination exhibit and pop-up shop, with weekly programming that delves into the unique flavors, techniques, and stories that define Southern cuisineā€”featuring local and regional authors, food entrepreneurs, and farmers.


Whether you're a seasoned cook or a curious foodie, this program provides a delicious journey into the heart of Southern hospitality and culinary tradition.


July 23rd | 1:00PM - 3:00PM

Eljay Pretzels - A brief presentation will take place in the Noble Gallery, and then samplings will be given in the Jennewein to follow.


July 30th


Sallie's Greatest - Sallie will show us how to enjoy teas, mocktails, cocktails, appetizers and more with her simple syrups and herbal fruit jams.


The Food Section, Charleston - Everything you need to know about Southern food in the coming year, including current trends. Presented by Hanna Raskin, Editor and Publisher of The Food Section (Charleston-based magazine).



August 6th | 10:30AM - 11:30AM

Get Carried Away and Sea View Inn - The program will begin in the Jennewein Gallery. Brian and Sassy Henry will offer some insights on the history of the area and their background, featuring some of the area's favorite lowcountry cuisine in their businesses.


August 13th | 10:30AM - 11:30AM

Oliver Pluff & Company - The program will begin in the Jennewein Gallery with a talk on the introduction to tea in Europe and the Colonies, as well as a brief discussion on how tea with consumed in early America. Tastings to follow in the Noble Gallery.


August 20th | 12:00PM - 1:00PM

Uncle Jim's Southern Honey - The program will begin in the Jennewein Gallery where Uncle Jim will speak about honey production in our area as well as the bee keeping methods you practices. Tastings to follow in the Noble Gallery.
