Full-Time Positions:

2024 Internship Opportunity: Horticulture

Brookgreen Gardens invites applications for its Summer Horticulture Internship program. Interns will immerse themselves in the daily routines and duties of a public garden horticulturist alongside the experienced Horticulture staff. Through interactive discussions, hands-on experiences, and field excursions, interns will receive comprehensive training and insight into the maintenance and management of a public garden. Controller 

Brookgreen Gardens is in search of a Controller to become an integral part of our financial team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role plays a crucial part in upholding the financial well-being of our organization. As the Controller, you will have significant responsibility not only for ensuring the organization's financial health but also for maintaining a robust system of internal controls. Your contributions will help facilitate stewardship of resources and foster an environment characterized by transparency, consistency, confidence, and continuous process improvement.

Public Exhibits Associate

The Public Exhibits Associate is responsible for learning lighting techniques for Nights of a Thousand Candles, Summer Light: Art by Night, and other Public Exhibits. In addition, the staff member will be responsible for assisting in the installation and maintenance of all electrical lighting and candle displays for Nights of a Thousand Candle, Summer Light: Art by Night and other Public Exhibits.

The position will require the individual to learn proper lighting techniques, safe use of ladders, safe use and training of a boom lift, comfortable working at heights more than 50 feet.

For their safety and the safety of our animal collection, pets are not allowed, nor can they be left in vehicles inside Brookgreen. Service animals that have received special training to assist disabled persons are welcome.
