
Join Ranger Mike Walker in getting acquainted with some of the weirdest animals in the ocean and discover that there’s more to life than a backbone! In fact, the vast majority of animals don’t have one. This program will highlight a variety of strange and unusual sea creatures, including some that call the Nature Center at Huntington Beach State Park home.
About the Speaker:
A native of South Carolina, Mike Walker received his Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the University of South Carolina. He has held various positions within the South Carolina State Park System and is currently an Interpretive Park Ranger at Huntington Beach State Park. In this role, he oversees educational programs and resource management. Mike’s ongoing dedication to preserving and promoting South Carolina’s natural resources has led to a fulfilling and rewarding career.
