Quilts exist at the intersection of patterns, material, and use. Constructed through piecing, appliqué, and quilting, they draw from established forms while allowing for variation in execution. Within this exhibition, recurring patterns such as Double Wedding Ring, star blocks, log cabin, and bear claws provide a structural framework that is continually adapted through choices in fabric, color, and composition.

Attention to the surface reveals the presence of the hand. Stitching defines both structure and texture, while shifts in alignment and scale reflect the decisions made during construction. These works move between precision and adjustment, where repetition is balanced by variation.

Over time, use becomes visible. Areas of wear, repair, and loss do not sit outside the work but remain part of it. They register handling, movement, and duration, extending the quilts beyond their initial making. What remains is not only the object, but the record of its making and use over time.
