Ricefields, Fish, and a Woman Naturalist: Two Centuries of Ichthyology on the Waccamaw Neck with Richard Moore

In the early 19th century, Charleston was widely recognized as a center of science and natural history due largely to the efforts of John Bachman and its Charleston Circle of Naturalists. Less well known has been the impact of the Waccamaw Neck on the study of Natural History during the past 200 years. Come explore the history, the people and aquatic life of this unique environment.

Free with garden admission.
