Celebrate the season with a hands-on floral design experience at Brookgreen Gardens. In this festive workshop, you’ll learn how to craft a beautiful mixed-green wreath using evergreens such as pine, magnolia, and cedar, accented with pinecones, and dried embellishments. Guided by our instructor, you’ll discover wreath-making techniques that are both approachable for beginners and inspiring for those with floral design experience.

Workshops like this are more than just creative projects—they’re a way to connect with your community, share in the joy of the season, and bring attention to the artistry of floral design. Whether you’re a home gardener, a flower enthusiast, or simply looking for a meaningful holiday activity, this workshop offers a memorable way to create something special.

By the end of the session, you’ll take home a handcrafted wreath to brighten your holiday season, along with the knowledge and inspiration to keep creating.

All materials and instructions are provided, and light refreshments will be served. By the end of the session, participants will leave with a handcrafted wreath to brighten their holiday season, along with the knowledge and inspiration to continue creating.

Classes with insufficient enrollment may be cancelled. Students will be notified in advance and offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another workshop.

About the Instructor:

Natalie C. Jones is a South Carolina based artist and educator whose work explores the intersection of material, memory, and place. Her practice is informed by a background in film photography, historic textiles, and craft traditions, which she reinterprets through contemporary processes such as cyanotype, eco printing, and natural dyeing. Drawing from both historical techniques and lived experience, she creates work that reflects cultural narratives, landscape, and the passage of time. Her artwork has been exhibited in museums, galleries, and community art spaces, and her teaching centers on making complex processes accessible through hands-on, inquiry-driven learning.
