About the Presenter
Lee G. Brockington is a History Consultant, offering tours, programs, and research. A native of Columbia, Lee is the former Curator of Education at Historic Columbia and in 1984 moved to Pawley's to work at Hobcaw Barony for about 30 years. She retired as director of interpretation in 2020 and now still has time for Pontoon Boat Tours on the local rivers, tours of Arcadia Plantation and Hasty Point Plantation, writing books on Lowcountry history, and helping with fundraisers for county non-profits. Lee was elected to Pawleys Island Town Council and served before and after Hugo and has served on the boards of Friends of SC Archeology, Friends of Charleston National Parks, and Friends of Waccamaw Library. Her greatest joy is sharing what she has learned.
