Experience the story of Anna Hyatt Huntington through a special theatrical presentation that brings Brookgreen Gardens’ cofounder to life.
Ella Cherry of Coastal Carolina University Theatre will portray the pioneering sculptor, artist, and visionary whose talent and determination helped shape Brookgreen Gardens. Through this theatrical interpretation, Cherry will explore Anna’s artistic journey, her passion for sculpture, and the experiences that influenced her life, work, and legacy.
The story will unfold in two settings, beginning at Visionaries, a sculpture honoring Anna Hyatt Huntington and Archer Huntington, and continuing with a second performance in the Purdy Center.
Part history and part performance, this special program invites visitors to discover the woman behind the art and experience Anna Hyatt Huntington’s remarkable story in a new way.
