Rosa 'WEKisosblip' (Wild Blue Yonder™) was bred by Tom Carruth in the United States and is a cross between Rosa [('HARquantum' (International Herald Tribune) × Hybrid of R. soulieana) × ('MORchari' (Sweet Chariot) × 'DELnible' (Blue Nile®)] and R. [('WEKcryplag' (Blueberry Hill™) × 'STEbigpu' (Stephens' Big Purple)]. It is a grandiflora rose.

It has been our experience that Rosa 'WEKisosblip' (Wild Blue Yonder™) performs poorly in our area and have removed it from the gardens in favor of a more disease resistant and better performing rose.

At Brookgreen Gardens, roses are rarely sprayed for fungal, insect, or other environmental pressures or problems. The Poetry Garden at Brookgreen Gardens is maintained as a completely spray-free rose garden, favoring the use of disease resistant roses and proper cultural practices.
