It has been our experience that Plectranthus scutellarioides 'UF12-73-5' (FlameThrower™ Spiced Curry) performs well in our area in a warm season planting. It is prone to flowering, resulting in added maintenance to deadhead. When grown in shade, the foliage is noted to have a green edge, but it is not observed in full sun conditions. When compared to Plectranthus scutellarioides 'UF17-64-1' (Mainstreet™ Beale Street), a cultivar with a similar appearance, it was observed to have stronger stems that were not as easily knocked down after rain. It is about two and a half feet tall and about two feet wide.
