Physalis pruinosa 'Goldie' fruit

It has been our experience that Physalis pruinosa 'Goldie' performs well in our area in a warm season planting. It is about a foot tall and about two feet wide.

The most plentiful harvests have been observed towards the end of the warm season. The only problem encountered was occasions where insects got past the husk and ate the fruit, making it important to harvest quickly before insects can get to them.
