It has been our experience that Brassica juncea 'Red Giant' grows well in our area in cool season plantings. We have found it to be a good addition to larger displays, but can become too large for smaller display beds. The color holds well and there have been no recorded issues of early bolting. To a lesser extent, there were issues noted for pest problems, but this was regulated to one garden space, while the other gardens with 'Red Giant' appeared to be pest-free and perform well.
