Alternanthera 'Wesalchochi' (FanciFillers™ Choco Chili®)

It has been our experience that Alternanthera 'Wesalchochi' (FanciFillers™ Choco Chili®) performs well in our area in a warm season planting, but it was slow to fill in. It is our suspicion that an unseasonably cool spring resulted in the delayed vigor of the plant, as it typically prefers higher temperatures. When planted in higher sun conditions, the foliage is purple, as opposed to greener in more shade. It has also been our experience that when foliage is cut back, the new foliage tends to come back greener. Alternanthera 'Wesalchochi' (FanciFillers™ Choco Chili®) is about one foot tall and one foot wide.
