Tai Chi has been practiced worldwide for thousands of years and can be traced back to the early 17th century in most Chinese cultures. Many different styles of Tai Chi derive from Yang, Chen, and Wu styles. Myrtle Beach Tai Chi is a Tibetan form of the Yang style. Tai Chi can be called "Meditation in Motion". It's a combination of postures, slow movement, and flow that create a series of forms. No experience is necessary. Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring a refillable water bottle.

About the Instructors:

My name is Heather Grzech. My roots are Baltimore, MD but my heart/soul is Myrtle Beach, SC. My father Kevin (also a student of ATAFA) and I have been training martial arts together for many years. We are students/Gurus at The Academy of Traditional Asian Fighting Arts under Guru Besar Dr. Scott Sobel. August 2018, we earned promotion to Guru in PentJak Silat by Dr. Andre Knust Graichen. 2016 we began our Tai Chi journey that evolved into teaching with blessing from our Guru Besar. Guru Kevin and I teach Tai Chi together. We bring a balance of yin and yang along with a fun father/daughter dynamic duo.
