About the Speaker:

Kate White’s love of Horticulture and Gardens developed at a very early age working with her mother in their home garden After graduating from Ohio University with a degree in Environmental Geography, Kate found her way back to the Lowcountry, graduating with her associate's degree in Horticulture from Trident Technical College. Her love of travel pushed her to accept an internship with the French Heritage Society studying in several gardens across France.  Upon returning to Charleston, Kate spent the first 8 years of her career with Magnolia Plantation and Gardens.

She became the president of the Perennial Plant Foundation in October and serves on the Horticulture Advisory Board at Trident Technical College. Her love of public Horticulture led her to the Charleston Parks Conservancy in 2022.
