Join Brookgreen Gardens’ horticulturist Mary Ann Melchionna for a tour of the Upper Right Wing. Mary Ann will discuss plantings in the raised beds throughout the garden, the creeping fig, and the plantings beneath the majestic live oak.
About the Speaker:
Mary Ann Melchionna worked at Barlow Flower Farm in Sea Girt, NJ on and off for over 30 years doing container design and off site annual and perennial beds. She also worked at True Blue Nursery in Pawleys Island, taking care of their greenhouse and being responsible for planting the containers for retail sale. As a horticulturist at Brookgreen Gardens, her designated areas to care for are the White Garden, Live Oak Allee, Et Cetera, Dionysus, Alligator Bender, Carolina Terrace, and Upper Right Wing. Since she has been here, she has organized the Upper Right Wing, the upper beds in Live Oak Allee, and is currently working her magic in Et Cetera!
