Arun Drummond is a South Carolina native residing in the Lowcountry. As the former manager of the Chuma Gullah Gallery he’s spent nearly 20 years educating guests about the rich and truly unique culture of the coastal south. He’s been painting since 2004 and his mixed media works have been featured on Food Network and in Conde Nast Traveler magazine.
Arun’s art premiered at the Chuma Gullah gallery in 2018. He can now be found in the outdoor section of the historic Charleston City market as well as the Lybensons art gallery at the Gullah Geechee Visitors Center on St Helena Island in Beaufort South Carolina.
The exhibition at Brookgreen will open January 7. An artist talk is planned for January 14 from 1 - 2 PM in the Lowcountry Center Auditorium.
