The Celebrating Talent: Art by Brookgreen Volunteers exhibit opens to the public on March 2nd at the Lowcountry Center and runs through March 21st. Celebrating Talent showcases and celebrates the art and artistry of Brookgreen volunteers.

Brookgreen volunteers fill many roles. They assist guests at information stations as well as while strolling the sculpture garden and zoo. They are gallery docents and assist with educational programs. They are gardeners and crafters. They are membership ambassadors and assist in our museum store. They are there for special events, and much more. But many volunteers are also artists, artisans, and hobbyists!

Celebrating Talent highlights art by Brookgreen volunteers in a ‘volunteers only’ exhibit hosted by the Creative Education Department, and sponsored by the Volunteer Leadership Council. The exhibit highlights art by 38 volunteers!

The exhibit includes oil, watercolor, acrylic, and theorem paintings; sculpture; textile art; medals; floral art; stained glass; woodworking; glass and tile art; metal art; photography; graphic art; and more. Some artworks are award-winning. Others are by art guild members. Still others reflect a life-long passion for the arts!
