Ride along with an interpreter and hear about the history of the prominent Alston family that lived here during the colonial and antebellum eras. Visit the location of the plantation house, the Alston family cemetery, grounds of the slave village, and other archeological sites. Along the trail, you will also see the natural beauty of a protected Long Leaf Pine forest.
Due to its remote location transportation is by minibus. Once at the cemetery site, guests will be required to walk a short distance, making this excursion challenging for some visitors with mobility issues. Uneven break walkways are not conducive to walkers or strollers.
