Join us as we bring back a favorite lecture series, Dirt N' Details. Members of our horticulture staff, volunteers, as well as outside experts in the field of horticulture and gardening, will provide lectures and/or demonstrations. Bring your lunch and enjoy good information on gardening topics.
January 15 - Pruning with Cheney Taylor
February 12 - Beekeeping with Tom Francis of Bees by the Sea
March 12 - Peaceful Ponds with Sharon Stollenmaier
April 27 - "Deep Rooted Wisdom" by Jenks Farmer at 2 pm in the Lowcountry Center Auditorium
May 14 - Benjamin Powell with Clemson Extension will be speaking on Shore-scaping with Native Plants
June 11 - Heidi Douglas with Brown’s Ferry Daylily Gardens will show us how to propagate daylilies
July 9 - Lucy Contreras will give us a talk on roses and how to care for them
Aug 13 - Jack Houston will share his knowledge on aquatics in water gardens
Sept 10 - John Hipkins, former head propagator at Parson's Nursery in Georgetown, will share his knowledge on plant propagation
Oct 8 - Dale Scholfield, Master Naturalist and President of the Waccamaw Audubon Society will speak about native plants that will attract birds to your garden.
Nov 12 - The 20th Anniversary of the Holiday Horticulture Exhibit with Viki Richardson, Supervisor of Horticulture Programs and Outreach.
