Since 1976, the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum of Wausau, WI has organized the annual exhibit, Birds in Art, seeking to present the very best contemporary artistic interpretations of birds and related subject matter. Two- and three-dimensional artworks in all media other than crafts and photography are included in this This is a spectacular exhibit of 60 internationally-known artists (including 44 from the USA and 16 from England, Ireland, Wales, France, Holland, Sweden, South Africa, Australia, and Canada) who specialize in depicting birds of the world in their habitats.  It includes 45 paintings, drawings, and prints, and 15 sculptures.  Among the sculptors with work in the exhibit, five also are represented in the Brookgreen collection.  A beautiful catalog of the exhibit will be available for sale in Keepsakes.

For their safety and the safety of our animal collection, pets are not allowed, nor can they be left in vehicles inside Brookgreen.

Service animals that have received special training to assist disabled persons are welcome.
