Winter at Brookgreen Gardens

Every season brings its own beauty to Brookgreen and in the winter season visitors to the gardens will see beautiful camellia blossoms in all varieties in colors, holly, dogwood and other trees with bright red berries, along with winter jasmine and honeysuckle. The tender shoots of perennial bulbs such as daffodils, crocus, and tulips are breaking through the ground waiting for the first few days of mild temperatures so they can begin to bud. The winter season has a quiet beauty, a time when nature takes a rest and offers us a time for reflection and a refreshingly slower pace in which to enjoy the gardens.
