It has been our experience that Plectranthus scutellarioides 'Pineapple Surprise' performs well in our area. We found 'Pineapple Surprise' to stay short, reaching about 24" in height due to its tendency to fall over. This created a fuller and wider appearance. It's tendency to flower resulted in the need for increased deadheading and maintenance. The color, while attractive, did tend to fade towards the end of August in our area.
