Acer palmatum 'Kiyohime'
Acer palmatum 'Kiyohime' is a small, deciduous tree that grows to about two to three feet tall and about six to seven feet wide. It is hardy in USDA Zones 5 - 9. Our specimen is growing in part shade.
'Kiyohime' is in the Dwarf Group. New leaves emerge with a red margin. As the leaves mature, they are green. Fall color is an orange-yellow. It resembles a rounded shrub in its habit. It is known for its heat tolerance.
