Acer palmatum 'Katsura' is a small, deciduous tree that grows to about ten to twelve feet tall and wide. It is hardy in USDA Zones 5 - 9. It may be planted in full sun to part shade.

'Katsura' is in the Palmatum Group. New leaves are a pale yellow with an orange margin. As the leaves mature, they age to a green color. Fall color is an attractive yellow and orange.
