Refuge manager Craig Sasser will provide an overview of the history of the Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge and discuss ecosystem services such as flood water services and carbon sequestration.

Craig Sasser is the Refuge Manager at the Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge. Craig has worked as a Biological Technician for The Belle Baruch Institute for Marine Biology and Costal Research, as a Regional Biologist for The South Carolina Waterfowl Association, as a Wildlife Biologist for the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge as well as for the South Carolina Lowcountry Refuge Complex. He is interested in wetland management, waterfowl/migratory bird biology, aquatic invasive species management and landscape habitat planning.
