Peek-a-boo Chick puts a smile on your face!

For an unexpected surprise, make this easy craft with materials around the house.

Materials:

          One spring loaded clothespin.

          Construction paper.

          Markers or crayons

          Glue or thin double-sided tape.

Procedure:

1. Cut an egg shape out of construction paper and decorate one side.
2. Draw a zigzag crack across your egg and cut in half along the crack line.
3. Use a piece of yellow construction paper to make a simple chick, about the size of your fingertip. Draw a little face on your chick.
4. Glue the two halves of the egg to the front of the clothespin being careful to line the egg up with the opening of the clothespin.

1. After the glue has dried place the chick on the back side of the clothespin and adjust the chick so it can be seen from the front when the clothes pin is opened.

This craft can be made as fancy as you would like. Use your imagination and what you have available around the house.
