| Description |
A round (1 3/4 -inch diameter) bronze medal with yellow silk ribbon (2 x 1 1/2 inch) woven with the American flag and the word, "Floor." The medal is attached to the ribbon by a metal bar inscribed: " Inauguration March 4, 1897." The pin bar across the top of the ribbon depicts the US Capitol. The medal obverse depict profile portraits of President William McKinley and Vice President Garret A. Hobart, encircled by a wreath design with the names of the 32 states. The reverse depicts the Seal of the United States framed by a ribbon with the names of the original 13 colonies. |
