"A solemn Indian child, clothed in a loose, round-necked garment, stares intently ahead. The hair, parted in the middle, is tied in two locks behind the ears. The oval base is patterned with conventional ornament in flat relief, including masks, birds, a bear, and a fox." (Proske 125)
