Description "Diana" by Edward McCartan

Figure/female/animal/dog/mythology

"The goddess strains backward as she holds in leash a greyhound leaping ahead. Raised in her other hand is a small gilt bow. A gilded fillet and crescent bind her hair. The statuette, originally modeled in 1920, was awarded a medal of honor by the Concord Art Association in 1925. It was enlarged for a garden at Greenwich, Connecticut, in 1928..."
