"Jaguar Eating" by Anna Hyatt Huntington
Animal/feline/jaguar
"A jaguar squats on the ground, clutching a piece of meat in both spread forepaws, as with head turned slightly sidewise he gnaws at the bone. His powerful neck is arched , and his ears are laid back. Like the other two jaguars, it was modeled at Auvers-sur-Oise in 1907." ("Brookgreen Gardens Sculpture", Beatrice Gilman Proske, 1968). |
