Bivalve gates

"These gates were formed of a row of vertical bars ending in scrolling and bordered by a band of S-scrolls. Between the bars are oval medallions containing at the middle the letters B and G; at the left an eagle, a fox, and a fawn; at the right a wild goose, a turtle, and an alligator." (Proske179)
