"Sonata" by Mario Joseph Korbel
Figure/female/nude/music/lyre
"Kneeling on one knee, a girl holds a lyre in one arm. Her head is thrown back, her eyes closed, and her hand drawn back from the plugged string. A soft drapery is laid over one knee and across the stool which supports her. The lyre is patterned in low relief with anthemions and a Greek fret." (Proske 232) |
