Description "Tragedy and Comedy" by Alexander Stirling Calder

"Hamlet, seated in a curule chair, leans his head against the knife held in his hand, as with knit brows and nervously plucking fingers, he muses. Touchstone, with his head throne back laughing, sits at Hamlet's feet, an arm flung over his knees, a bauble held in the other hand. There are gilded bells on his cape and bauble." (Proske 112)
