"A child is riding astride a sea horse which has its forefeet lifted and its tail curled in a volute. SHe hold the reins in one hand and reached forward with the other to grasp the horse's neck. The wind blows back her hair and the horse's mane, and the waves rise and curl beneath them." (Proske 241)
