| Description |
The obverse of a round (1 1/4 inch diameter) bronze medal depicts three female figures surrounding a profile portrait of W. H. Seward with the inscription: "Alaska- Yukon - Pacific Exposition." The reverese depicts the seal of Seattle with the inscription : The Seal of the City of Seattle / 1909." The medal is accompainied by its original envelope printed in part: " This is to certify that the Medal contained in this envelope is teh Official Commemorative Medal of the Alaska - Yukon - Pacific Expostition, manufactured by the United States Mint in the Government Building, Alaska - Yukon - Pacific Exposition Grounds, Seattle, Washington, 1909." The second example is the same as the first, but has no envelope. |
