Nights of a Thousand Candles 
Nights of a Thousand Candles- Update for Friday, December 18 as of 4:30 p.m.
Brookgreen will be CLOSED on Friday, December 18 for Nights of a Thousand Candles due to severe weather.
Please visit on Saturday evening, December 19. The hand-lit candles, beautiful lighting displays, live entertainment, and dinner service will make it a night to remember!
December 4-5; 11-12 & 17-19, 2009. Hours are from 3 - 10 p.m.
Brookgreen's most popular annual event has been named as one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast by the Southeastern Tourism Society! Visitors will stroll through the gardens and view spectacular lighting displays along with hand-lit candles that illuminate garden paths. All through the gardens musicians perform, carolers sing, and visitors experience the enchantment that only Nights of a Thousand Candles brings. Dinner is available from 3:30 - 9 p.m. and is catered by Inlet Affairs, Murrells Inlet.

Frequently asked questions.
In December, adult tickets are $10 for Individual and Family Members ( up to ten tickets) and child tickets (ages 6-12) are $4. Regular adult tickets are $15 and non-member child tickets (ages 6-12) are $6. All children ages five and under are free. All Nights of a Thousand Candles tickets are non-refundable and considered a donation to Brookgreen in the event of inclement weather. For group reservation of 15 guests or more, please call (800) 849-1931 or (843) 235-6021.
Entertainment Schedule - All Seven Evenings:
- In the Main Entertainment Tent at 7:30 p.m. Bill Oberst, Jr. will return to the stage as Scrooge in his one-man rendition of
Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
- The Gullah language and culture will come alive in Ron Daise performance of The Christmas Story in Gullah and Songs.
- You will find it hard to keep from tapping your feet when the popular Vocal Edition, chorale ensemble, sings holiday classics in perfect harmony. On December 4 and 5 the Vocal Edition will perform with the Carolina Forest Show Choir.
- In the Live Oak Alleé you will enjoy the rich, full sounds of hammered dulcimer played by Sue Tanner.

Quiana has toured with American Idol, Clay Aiken, and has shared the stage with a diverse array of other national artists ranging from Keith Sweat to Kelly Clarkson. She has performed in Saturday Night Live, The View, NBC's Today Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Good Morning America, and numerous other national television programs.
