Nights of a Thousand Candles

What are the dates and times of the event?
December 19, 2009. Hours are from 3 - 10 p.m.
Nights of a Thousand Candles- Update for Friday, December 18 as of 4:30 p.m.
Brookgreen will be CLOSED on Friday, December 18 for Nights of a Thousand Candles due to severe weather.
Please visit on Saturday evening, December 19. The hand-lit candles, beautiful lighting displays, live entertainment, and dinner service will make it a night to remember!
Are food and beverages available during the event?
Yes, please click here dinner menu and prices.
What are the tickets prices?
Regular adult tickets are $15 and non-member child tickets (ages 6-12) are $6.
Adult tickets are $10 for Individual and Family Members of Brookgreen ( up to ten tickets) and member child tickets (ages 6-12) are $4.
All children ages five and under are free. All Nights of a Thousand Candles tickets are non-refundable and considered a donation to Brookgreen in the event of inclement weather.

Do you drive or walk through the gardens?
Visitors walk through the gardens to view the light and candles displays as well as the entertainment.
We recommend visitors wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.
Is the event handicapped accessible?
Yes, but we advise visitors bring their own strollers, wheelchairs, etc. if they need assistance in walking through the gardens.
What is the best time to come for the event?
We recommend visitors arrive early. The entertainment begins at 4 p.m. and we begin to light the candles approximately 4:30 p.m.
How many candles and lights are on display each night?
There are 4,000 + candles lit each night and 145,000 mini and traditional lights on display.
