(Limited quantities, some restrictions apply.) On Saturday, March 27, Diggin’ It, the spring garden expo, will be your “go to place” for everything you need to know about gardening in the coastal south region. “For the past few years we have brought some impressive speakers for the spring garden festival,” said George Weich, Vice-President for Horticulture, “but this year we have really out done ourselves with speakers who will engage our guests, workshops and planting demonstrations that will get your hands dirty, and a behind-the-scenes look at how we maintain the gardens at Brookgreen.” Come back to Brookgreen on Saturday and Sunday, April 24-25, for the Plantacular Sale when you will have a chance to purchase high quality plants grown in our greenhouses. “Resist the temptation to plant too early in the spring,” Weich advises. “Many people are so anxious to get their gardens started they don’t wait until the last frost of the season, which usually occurs after Easter. It’s better to wait; have patience, and you will have much better results.”

State University, will give Secrets to Successful Home Gardening.
